Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center Revitalization

Today, the nine partners with the Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center came together to announce a revitalization of the services they offer to Utah families under one roof. This center utilizes a collaborative model to address the needs of families intersecting with the criminal justice system in the Salt Lake area. It brings together governmental and private nonprofit service providers. The goal is to co-locate victim-centered services, making it easier for those experiencing domestic violence, sexual violence, trafficking, or stalking to access help in one convenient location. This collaboration aims to enhance the support available to these families, ensuring they receive comprehensive assistance in a single, accessible place.

At the Family Justice Center, there is no wrong door. Guides will help individuals navigate the services provided under one roof. The center will serve as a place of empowerment and safety for those who come for help. People can come to make safety plans, get help with stalking injunctions, connect with legal aid, and access a myriad of other services.

All nine partners with The Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center will have partners at the location at 310 E 300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

"YWCA Utah is thrilled to welcome back - and welcome new - valued community partners to the Salt Lake Area Family Justice Center. Together, under one roof, we create a safe and supportive space for survivors of family violence.  Through collaboration, we offer resources for healing and empowerment, including economic support, immigration services, and safe housing. Since 2007, the Family Justice Center has been a beacon of hope and a place where survivors can rebuild their lives with dignity and strength."
