2025 Open Enrollment
Welcome to the Salt Lake County 2025 Open Enrollment page. Here you will find all the information, resources and tools to help you successfully enroll for your 2025 benefits.
The medical plans include changes to both premium and plan design. These changes were made after much discussion and careful consideration and intended to mitigate the significant cost increases across both plans. These changes have allowed the County to limit the overall increase in healthcare funding to 8% and continue offering the HDHP at no premium cost to employees.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
· Open Enrollment is the chance to make changes for 2025. Members can change plans, add/remove dependents, and establish healthcare savings for the upcoming year. After January 1st changes may only be made following a Qualifying Life Event (QLE), except for adjustments to your Health Savings Account deductions.
· Effective January 1, deductibles and annual out-of-pocket (OOP) limits will each increase by $500 for Employee-only coverage and $1,000 for Family coverage. Plan design for both programs will otherwise remain the same.
· All Medical plans have incurred a funding increase for 2025. If you are a full-time employee (30+ hours) on the HDHP plan, the County will continue to pay 100% of the monthly cost. HDHP premiums for part-time employees (20-29 hours) and Traditional PPO plan premiums for all employees have been adjusted to reflect the increase.
· Flexible Spending Account limits have increased to $3300 for the upcoming plan year. FSA elections will not carry over into 2025, so you will need to reenroll. The Dependent Care FSA limit remains $5,000 for a married couple filing jointly, or $2,500 for each individual FSA.
· Health Savings Account limits have increased for 2025. Your 2024 election amounts will roll over, but you are able to add to your HSA savings as follows:
o Self-only coverage: $4,300
o Family coverage: $8,550
o Catch-up contribution: $1,000 for individuals 55 and older
· Increases to Life Insurance may be requested for you or your dependents. These changes require members to complete a Health Questionnaire and prove eligibility. Links to the health questionnaire will be emailed to you after you submit your enrollment request.
