Welcome to Salt Lake County benefits! If you are newly hired, rehired, or experienced a recent life or work status change you may be eligible for coverage. Once you’ve reviewed the benefits guide and made your selections, you’re ready to enroll using the links below.
You must enroll in coverage within 30 days of becoming eligible. Eligibility coincides with the date you are hired or promoted to a benefits-eligible position.
You may add or remove dependents within 30 days of a qualifying life event such as marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, or death. You will need to provide documentation of your event (such as a marriage or birth certificate) before you can complete the enrollment.
You may also enroll during the annual Open Enrollment period or if you lose other coverage during the year. If you think you newly qualify, contact the Benefits Department as quickly as possible to make sure you don’t miss this opportunity.
Once your deductions start be sure to check your paycheck to ensure your deductions are correct. If you have any questions, contact the Benefits team as soon as possible.
