Overview
Welcome to the Salt Lake County Human Services Department! We are comprised of 7 agencies – Aging and Adult Services, Behavioral Health Services, Criminal Justice Services, Health Department, Youth Services, USU Extension Services and Indigent Legal Defense—that serve across the lifespan from birth to end of life. We offer more than 70 different programs, operate directly in 42 sites across the County, and contract with more than 100 providers for behavioral health services. We serve and impact all people living, working and visiting Salt Lake County—that’s about 1.2 million people living in the County and more than 5 million people visiting each year! Our more than 880 employees work tirelessly to meet our vision—Salt Lake County’s diverse communities are healthy, vibrant, and safe places to live, work, and thrive.
