Free Access to Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Amenities to School Age Children

Join Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation for an exclusive preview of the exciting amenities available to school-age youth this year through the free My County Rec Pass. This media event, scheduled for May 30, at 3 pm at Dimple Dell Recreation Center, will showcase a range of activities and facilities designed to provide accessible, inclusive, and engaging recreational opportunities.

Attendees will have the chance to see firsthand how Salt Lake County is enhancing the recreational experience for young people across the county. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about Parks and Recreations commitment to fostering community involvement and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for all youth. The pass will go live for all Salt Lake County school-age children on June 1.

“As a mom, I understand how quickly fees for things like recreation centers can add up, especially during the summer,” says Mayor Jenny Wilson, Salt Lake County. “Many families are facing financial pressures, and the My County Rec Pass ensures that kids have a place to exercise, get off screens, and stay healthy without any additional costs."

“This initiative highlights our dedication to offering accessible, inclusive, and engaging recreational opportunities for school-age youth throughout the county,” said Doranne Pittz, Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation associate director. “Starting on June 1, our goal is to expand our reach and impact, making sure every young person can enjoy the benefits of recreation and community engagement.”
