South Mountain features an incredible blend of mountain and valley views, wildlife, and scenery. A mountain links style course that has large undulating greens and dramatic elevation changes, South Mountain is a test for amateurs and professionals alike. With five tee boxes to choose from the golf course is an enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

Since opening in 1998, South Mountain Golf Club has earned a reputation as one of the finest facilities in the state of Utah. Golf Digest Magazine has consistently named South Mountain as one of the "Top Places to Play in America" as well as ranking it as high as #3 in Utah. Other publications such as Utah Business Magazine praise South Mountain as "One of the best places to hold a corporate or group outing".

Host to the 1999 Utah Open, South Mountain has gone on to host numerous amateur, charity, and fundraising events, and specializes in group outings of all kinds. Once your round is over the fun is just beginning.

Amenities

Men's League

South Mountain Golf Club has a very active Men's Association that plays every Monday afternoon or evening. Tee times are flexible and the only requirements are that you join the association ($40) and that you play your competitive round with at least one other association member.

There are a variety of events, socials, and other activities; including the South Mountain Club Championship, where the winner represents the club at the Utah Golf Association Tournament of Champions.

No matter how good your game is, it can always get better. Our skilled staff provides private and group lessons and is equipped to give you a complete analysis of your swing, short game, and putting. PGA Professionals are available to teach lessons, all lessons are by scheduled appointment.

South Mountain Golf Course welcomes corporate events and groups of all sizes. Our staff will assist with all necessary tournament details to ensure a highly successful event. Shotgun or tee-timed starts can be arranged to suit your needs.

South Mountain offers junior clinics associated with the Salt Lake County Junior Golf Program. We average over 200 junior golfers annually, the clinics are offered weekly during June, July and August. Ages range from 6-17 years old.

These clinics are designed to give the kids an overall introduction to the game. Advanced juniors should look into leagues or camps that are offered at both Mick Riley Golf Course and  Mountain View Golf Course.  Register online or at the course.

** Junior golfers must be at least 16 to drive a cart, no walking allowed.   If under 16, the golfer must be accompanied by an adult to drive.  

*Golf cart fees are included in all rates. No private/personal Golf carts are allowed.
