Wheeler Farm Friends, Inc., are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that solicits and manages funds for the restoration, improvement, and continuation of Wheeler Historic Farm.

Volunteering opportunities are available to groups only at this time.
No, we are not an approved facility that can provide Court-ordered community service.
Volunteer opportunities are available for children, grades K-12, and adults. To keep kids safe, their volunteering opportunities are limited.
The farm has a variety of farm projects, depending on the season. Examples of year-round projects include:
Due to farm events, we do not offer volunteer opportunities in October.
We like animals, too, and we are protective of their safety and the safety of our volunteers. Therefore, volunteer opportunities with animals are not an option.
Animal-based projects are allowed. Those projects usually consist of cleaning and/or mucking stalls, pens, corrals, and pastures and are supervised by a farmer.
Volunteer opportunities are generally available 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday – Saturday.
We recommend no more than a 2-hour volunteer timeframe.
